Singing Author Visit
My fall 2008 visit to Coventry Elementary School in Yorktown, VA. This my “Storytime Boogie,” a song I sometimes use as a program closer for younger students. The song encourages reading at bedtime. I love these kindergartners’ bobbing heads.
When a school invites me for a visit, I send a batch of advance materials, including a music CD of the Storytime Boogie, so these kids were already familiar with the song. But even when it’s new to them, soon heads are bobbing and hands are clapping.
The Storytime Boogie
A music video of my Storytime Boogie song for younger students. Educators often play this for a few days before my visit so students will know be better before I arrive.
(Sorry about the boring blank image to the right. I didn’t realize I should make sure there’s an amusing image before the opening credits!)
Meet Kim Norman
Another advance video to introduce me to students whose schools I’ll be visiting. (Same problem with boring blank screen for the first second. Sorry about that! I know better now, as you can see by the Santa Baby and Singing Author videos!)
If these videos are too slow to load or won’t play, you can also find them on YouTube. Just do a search for kimnormanbooks.
Santa Baby for Writers
At last! I’ve made my Santa Baby parody into a real movie with images. Okay, no one is going to offer me a job in Hollywood. Blame the stockings’ lack of rhythm on my limited cinematography skills.
These are things most any writer would like for Christmas, no matter what they write.
