Okay, I’ll admit I don’t often tap dance at school presentations, but I love sharing this photo because it’s proof that it’s never too late to try something new.
Rene and I were both in our 40s, (we still are!) when we auditioned for Steppin’ Out, a show that would take a year to prepare. We had to learn to tap dance! We loved it and became the “teacher’s pets.” (The teacher trusted us with the hardest duet for the splashy finale.)
I enjoy telling this story during presentations. There’s always something new you can try, whether on stage, in life, or when revising a story.
The possibilities are endless. You’ve just got to keep trying.

Kim Norman inspired our elementary students with information about authors and the writing process. Her interactive presentation, including students from the audience, made a positive impression with our faculty and parents.

Kim was just what we needed for our students. She spoke as an author, shared her books, discussed how she got ideas and involved them in a Readers’ Theatre.
Great job! |
